His accomplishments as an educator, speaker and consultant include designing and teaching effective courses in Career Planning and Public Relations at San Francisco State University's Music/Recording Industry Program; implementing an Arts Management program at Oakland School for the Arts; and conducting educational workshops and seminars for the United States Small Business Administration (SBA).

Gian also has a well-rounded music industry resume that includes a background in personal management in which his notable achievements were obtaining recording contracts for 5 of the 6 acts he managed; owning and operating a successful consulting firm for a decade (M.B.I.S.) which was instrumental in providing guidance and direction to countless music artists and music businesses; and representing musical director and producer Cori Jacobs (Beyonce, Pussycat Dolls, Lauryn Hill, George Clinton, Sly Stone)
